The 2nd Dubai International Water Forum, entitled “Innovation and Integration - Impact on Desalination and Water Reuse Costs” will be held on March 5-6 at the Grand Hyatt, in Dubai, UAE and will be supported by WSTA (an IDA Affiliate), Techno Park of Dubai and the regional utilities of Water and Power. These Water Forums were developed to facilitate discussion on topics of critical interests to the water sector in the Middle East region. The 2006 Water Forum is directed at increasing awareness of recent innovations in desalination and water reuse technologies and applications, which are directly impacting the costs of building and
operating these facilities. Efficient integration of the innovative desalination technologies with power facilities and upgrading existing desalination plants can also offer improved economics to the end-user. As desalination and water reuse expansion in the Middle East continues at a rapid pace, these innovations must be integrated into the next generation of water facilities in order to maximize the return on investment and improve the overall long-term economics of the projects.
