7th International Conference on Urban Drainage Modelling (UDM) and the 4th International Conference on Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD)

Instituto de Recursos Hídricos Sostenibles, Australia; Colegio de Ingenieros de Australia; Asociación Internacional del Agua (IWA); Asociación de Industrias de Tratamiento del Agua de Lluvia, Australia

Mon, 03/04/2006 / Fri, 07/04/2006

This conference incorporates UDM and WSUD conferences and will deal with two highly topical issues in Urban Water management:
• modelling of urban drainage systems and the interfaces to other parts of the urban water cycle
• current achievements and problems in Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD), also known as Low Impact Development Design.

The topics to be included at the UDM conferences as follows:
• flooding and risk management
• impacts of urban climate variability and change
• modelling pollutant generation, transport and sewer processes
• modelling socio-economic and human health impacts
• real-time control systems.

The WSUD conference will include the following topics:
• application of novel technologies - their design and performance
• integration into the urban landscape
• environmental impacts
• construction, maintenance and lifecycle costs
• modelling for integrated urban water management (scaling and multi-criteria approaches).
