Up to a 12% in water savings according to a test in Torredembarra

Torredembarra can save up to an average of 12% in water, according to an ongoing study, started in March 2002, in 853 homes where special devices have been installed in water taps, showers and bath tanks in order to cut down on water. This is the first village in Tarragonès producing outcomes fromm the test study planned by the Departament de Medi Ambient i Habitatge of the Catalonian Generalitat. The Head of the Department, Salvador Milà said the campaing was very successful and would be transfered to the whole Catalonian territory in order to achieve a better water management.
